The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by 2030, adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015. Hayashi Telempu will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through our CSR activities. SDGs

Health Initiatives

HAYASHI TELEMPU Declaration of Safety and Health

We will actively promote the creation of safe and comfortable workplaces and mental and physical health, aiming for “zero accidents” and “zero illnesses.

Six Key Measures

  2. We aim to build a safety culture where everyone can point out things to each other.
  3. We promote continuous improvement with risk reduction as our top priority.
  4. We promote the creation of a health-oriented workplace culture.

In March 2021, we were the first company to be certified as a company that practices employee health from a managerial perspective. We will continue to carry out various activities to improve the health and job satisfaction of our employees.

Environmental and Social Contribution Initiatives

Environmental Policy

Throughout our 110-year history, we have been committed to the development of our business and the coexistence of local communities and the natural environment. In order to protect our irreplaceable earth, we have established and will continue to implement the following environmental policy with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

  1. We will strive to design, develop, produce, and supply environmentally friendly products from the development stage of automotive interior and exterior parts and optical components, recognize the impact of our business activities on the global environment, and proactively contribute to the creation of a prosperous society.
  2. We strive to prevent environmental pollution and continuously improve our environmental preservation and protection activities.
  3. We will comply with environmental laws, regulations, ordinances, and other requirements to which the organization subscribes.
  4. We will set environmental targets, strive to achieve them, and review them as necessary.
  5. We will ensure that all employees are aware of the policy and raise their awareness of it through environmental education and activities.
  6. The environmental policy will be publicly announced outside the company as necessary.

We are also working to manage and reduce the environmental impact of our operations through certification of our environmental management system (ISO 14001).

Specific Initiatives

Reduction of energy loss in the production process

The use of recycled materials is increased compared to conventional products, and the overall weight of the product is reduced, thereby contributing to lower fuel consumption of automobiles.

Reduction of greenhouse gases in logistics activities

We are constantly optimizing the consolidation of regular logistics services and delivery routes by reviewing delivery patterns between our factories and distribution warehouses.

Reduction of waste and effective use of resources

Through the recycling of PET bottle caps, we are making donations for the purchase of polio vaccines.

Used safety shoes are collected for chemical recycling.

Reduction of waste from production processes

Achieved zero landfill waste

Contributing to the prevention of waste plastic from leaking into the ocean

Social Contribution Initiatives

To help develop the local community, recycling companies donate the cost of purchasing cardboard and used paper to elementary schools.

We donate PCs to schools to help develop education in the community.
