Sales and Rental Start of Compact-Type Vehicle Acoustic Simulator “AAS” May 31,2022

HAYASHI TELEMPU CORPORATION (Head office: Nagoya City, Naka-ku, President: Takao Hayashi), a comprehensive manufacturer of automobile interior parts, has newly developed a compact type of its proprietary Advanced Acoustic Simulator (“AAS”) which faithfully reproduces the interior vehicle sound in motion. Sales and rental services will be offered to automakers around the world beginning in June.

The compact type AAS is a new model with functions replicating the full-size AAS developed by us in 2018. The new model delivers the sound reproduction performance of the full-spec AAS while its size has been reduced to a compactness fit for transportation by truck after removal of the large curved monitor and the seat vibration device. Requiring no on-site installation work, it is ready for immediate use. Moreover, the compact type is available at a significantly lower price than the full-size AAS.

AAS enhances efficiency of test ride events

Automobile development bases of late are increasingly dispersed over locations in Japan and overseas. Having a compact type AAS at each development base will enable test ride events by simply exchanging data, without domestic or international travel. Moreover, since the AAS reproduces the recorded vehicle sound, test ride events can take place in an efficient manner unaffected by factors such as weather or driver habits.
With ever shorter automobile development times worldwide, we propose to contribute to the development of efficient soundproofing technology for vehicle interiors through the distribution of AAS.
